Christmas 2014 trip about Via Rail’s Ocean train

Rough edit of travel onboard Canada’s easternmost train

It’s been more than eight years since I assembled this video from clips shot onboard Via Rail’s Ocean train, which travels between Montreal and Halifax via the coastal route through New Brunswick.

I invite you to travel with me on what is one of my favourite train journeys, a relaxing trip that I have taken a number of times. As with most train travel in Canada, one cannot be in a hurray to get from A to B on the Ocean, as the trip takes approximately 23 hours. As such, it’s best to book sleeping accommodations, relax, savour some food, and enjoy the scenery that passes slowly by your windows.
